There are no hidden costs. The initial cost (for the combination you choose) includes website hosting, domain name registration, use of the website framework, use of the browser-based content-management control panel. There are no set-up or maintenance fees. The fact that there are no maintenance fees does not mean that we do not provide maintenance and improvements to the framework. We are continually striving to provide a robust framework.

3. Do you place advertisements on my website?

No, we do NOT place advertisements on your website apart from one banner-ad link to Ready-to-Use Websites on your website's optional 'Links' page. 7. Can I sell items from my website?

Yes, if you have purchased the 'Shop' and/or the 'Digital Shop' feature, you can sell products or services from your website using ecommerce. You are required to register (FREE) as a seller with PayPal (www.paypal.com). All you need to do to 'connect' your shopping cart to PayPal is to enter the email you registered with PayPal into your Ready-to-Use account details page and select the currency of your shop.

8. Who owns my website?

The website source code remains the property of R&N Collins (trading as 'Ready-to-Use Websites') and is never sold outright. The source code of both the website and the content-management web application remains the intelectual property of R&N Collins. You actually 'rent' the website and content-management web-application. By doing it this way we have kept the cost down to one-tenth or less than the cost of a custom-built website of the same size. You do, however, own the domain name (conditions apply) even though we register it for you.
(top)

9. What about domain name registration?

We will register the Domain provided by you in your application form. We register it in your name. The onus is on you to find a name that has not already been registered. We register your domain name with name.com. If you already have a domain name or if you wish to register your own domain name with a domain name registrar of your choice, we will use your domain name no matter where it is registered (International Domains Supported). We do NOT append your domain name to the end of our domain name - it is your very own domain name. If your business grows and you decide not to use our hosting service and our website framework, you are absolutely free to take your domain name to another host. 'Ready-to-Use Websites' is NOT an Internet hosting scam because we do not delay, hinder, or prevent you from taking your domain name to another host (conditions apply). Of course, from that moment on, you will have to either open a free account at name.com and transfer the domain name to your account and pay name.com the annual domain name renewal fee (very nominal), or transfer it to another registrar (we will provide the 'auth code' that enables you to do this).

10. What is a Blog and does my website include one?

You can purchase the Blog at initial sign-up or anytime later. 'Blog' is short for 'Web log' which is a 'journal' or 'diary' and is used by the site owner to make announcements or to post news items or to tell the world anything. The site owner can archive Blog entries and re-list them if the topic is current. Visitors can list the current Blog as well as the archived entries if they wish to find an entry they had read before. Our Blogs are 'illustrated Blogs' which means that the site owner can include an image (photo or graphic) in the Blog Entry as well as a link to a website.

Our Blogs are also 'syndicated'. An RSS Feed is created automatically when a Blog entry is created or updated. This process automates the syndication of the Blog content. We also make it easy for news aggregators that crawl sites automatically to find your feed.

The Blog creates a sense of community on your website because visitors can add their comments. The syndication of your Blog entries and the interaction by visitors means that your site conforms to the 'WEB 2.0' standard.

The Blog on your website works exactly like the Blog on this website except that you see the Blog as a visitor. You are welcome to leave a comment in any of the Blog entries to see how it works from a visitor's point of view. You can click the XML icon to see the RSS Feed and you can click the 'Validate my RSS Feed' icon to check the validity of the feed.

11. What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web content syndication format. RSS is a form of XML (Extensible Markup Language) that offers an easy way to syndicate the content of your Blog.

12. Do you have a refund policy?

We have an 'Anytime Money Back Guarantee' based on a month-by-month pro-rata basis. If you wish to stop using our services completely we will refund the remaining months of the annual fee paid. A portion of a month will be counted as one month. If for example you have used our services for five-and-a-half months, you will be refunded for six months (half of the fee you paid). PLEASE NOTE: We will not pay refunds if the Client's service has been terminated as a result of a violation of R&N Collins Terms Of Service by the Client. Should you temporarily or permanently hide any of your website's pages, this does not warrant a refund from R&N Collins.

A Testimony

Jul, 2008

... I had been trying to get a website for more than three years. Well there was the cost. Some companies had quoted more than $5,000 - out of my range. Then domain names. And who was going to set up the site? A couple of months ago I chanced upon READY TO USE WEBSITES, the cost was very reasonable. It was so simple setting up the site and I can manage the content myself. It has my creative juices flowing in my spare time. Rodney has been very prompt in solving all my problems and provides excellent and prompt service. Ready to Use Websites even went to the lengths to create a special style for my furniture business.I am really touched by the service.
